San Antonio muralist Nik Soupe (Soup) once again proved his knack for capturing the city’s basketball spirit ahead of the game. With less than 24 hours before the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft, Soup completed a striking mural of Dylan Harper, who was soon officially selected as the Spurs’ No. 2 overall pick.

Harper’s likeness now joins the growing gallery of Spurs legends and rising stars adorning the walls of Rudy’s Seafood on the South Side — a curated collection celebrating San Antonio’s rich basketball heritage and exciting future.

The San Antonio Express-News praised Soup’s uncanny ability to “immortalize a Spurs star before he even put on the team’s draft cap.” Finished in the “Nik” of time (a nod to his previous quick turnaround on a Victor Wembanyama mural), the piece perfectly captured the anticipation and hope surrounding Harper’s entry to the Spurs.
